The builds aren’t code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen and macOS Gatekeeper may warn on first run — choose “More info ▸ Run anyway” (Windows) or right-click ▸ Open (macOS). Code-signing certificates carry a steep recurring cost that’s hard to justify for a free tool at this stage; once there’s enough interest in DropMaps to warrant it, we’ll get the apps signed so the warnings go away. 4 July 2026- New: convert Esri tile packages — .tpkx (current format) and .tpk (legacy) — into PMTiles.
- Works with standard Web Mercator, 256 px caches; packages using another scheme are flagged with guidance to re-export as .tpkx.

Install it in QGIS via Plugins ▸ Manage and Install Plugins ▸ Install from ZIP,
choose the downloaded file, then enable DropMaps under Installed.
Reading/writing .dmap files needs the pyarrow Python package — the plugin
offers to install it on first use. Publishing to the QGIS Plugin Repository is on the way; see the
