Account, plans & billing

Sign in, choose a plan, manage your subscription and add storage.

You don’t need an account to use DropMaps — the editor runs entirely in your browser. A free account adds 100 MB of cloud backup, sync and sharing on top; paid plans add room and password-protected links. Manage it all from Account in the Menu.

Sign in

Sign in from the Account tab (or when prompted). DropMaps uses Google sign-in and passwordless email links. Signing in lets you back up maps, pull your cloud maps onto a new device, and accept team invites and ownership transfers.

The QGIS plugin uses email/password sign-in. If you only ever use Google, set a password in the app first so the plugin can sign in.

Plans

  • Free — the full in-browser editor (import, edit, draw, style and export every supported format) plus 100 MB of cloud storage: sync and backup across devices, and publishing a map as a branded, read-only public link.
  • Pro — 5 GB of storage with stackable +10 GB packs, and password-protected share links for maps that aren’t for everyone.
  • Team — everything in Pro with 10 GB, plus teams: share with named people, real-time collaboration and ownership transfer.

Every cloud feature — sync, photos, tiled and raster layers, the developer API — is available on all three; what changes is how much room you have and whether you can lock a link. See the pricing page for current prices and what’s included.

Manage your subscription

  • Free → Upgrade your plan opens checkout (it stays in the app).
  • Pro/Team → Manage subscription opens the Paddle billing portal in a new tab to update your card, download invoices, or change plan.
  • Cancel subscription keeps access until the end of the billing period. After that you drop to the free 100 MB rather than losing the account — if your cloud data fits in it, you simply carry on as a free user. If you’re over it, uploads stop but you can still download your cloud data for 30 more days; once that window closes it is permanently deleted. Local maps are kept either way, and you can export everything to disk at any time. A cancelled plan can be brought back with Resume subscription before it lapses — and resubscribing inside the 30 days keeps your cloud data.

Payments are handled by Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record, so charges appear on your statement from Paddle and receipts and tax invoices come from them.

Storage add-ons

Every plan includes cloud storage. Pro and Team can add +10 GB packs when they need more, and remove them at renewal. Storage packs aren’t available on Free — the way to get more room there is to upgrade to Pro. Track and manage usage in the Storage section of the Account tab.

Pending transfers & invites

The Account tab surfaces pending team invites and pending ownership transfers — accept or decline them here. See Teams.
